I am the owner and operator of Darius Nickovich Studios. Being raised in the Bay Area, I've been blessed to be in a place where you really can't help but be exposed to amazing art, fine foods and the beautiful outdoors. Truth be told I am very lucky to be a part of such a vibrant culture.

My background is in art and metal work. At the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, I studied in the Fine Art Sculpture department. After I left school I soon began to work to with various metal artist around the San Francisco Bay Area to further develop and hone my craft. In the years since I've been involved in a number of unique projects using metals from large public works to small private commissions. I've been fortunate in that each different project and artist that I have worked with has encouraged me to develop my own understanding of process, craftsmanship, technique, and of the nature of metal. I am very grateful to everyone who has encouraged and guided me on my path. It has been paramount in my development as a craftsman and helped to shape and define my visual language as an artist.

Working with my hands, tinkering with function and form is my zen! Fire from the forge mesmerizes me and the way metal can be manipulated and shaped with it is nothing short of fascinating. I love what I do and the community I serve.
